Iranian leaders want legal action to sort out opposition

Edinburgh News.Net
Thursday 2nd July, 2009

In Iran, legal action may be taken against opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi.

Iranian leaders want Mr Mousavi held accountable over post-election protests that have rocked the country.

Hardline parliamentarians and pro-government militias have squarely put the blame on Mr Mousavi for the wave of violence that has killed at least 20 people since the disputed election on June 12th.

Mr Mousavi has rejected the claims and still insists the election was rigged.
